Geon training is an independent training provider who has access to several government funded streams.  Through this funding we are able to support both the employed and unemployed with training, upskilling and career opportunities

What We Do

Nadia Scott

Managing Director

I have 17 years’ experience of working with employers and their recruitment needs, I pride myself on understanding the needs and challenges which our partners face, having the drive and passion to support them in gaining the employees to meet their business’s requirements. As the co-owner and managing director, i am a dynamic and strategically focussed leader with the determination to ensure that the disadvantaged and unemployed individuals are provided with the tools to achieve and succeed in life. Due to the links i have with employers,  i am able to work with my teams to ensure that those who want to work will love move in your sustainable employment.

Trevor Dugeon

Finance Director

I have worked in Recruitment for 10 years gaining a vast experience of supporting individuals and employers with all their recruitment needs. As the Co-Owner and Finance Director of Geon I am involved in all aspects of the business in both management and sales. Geon now employs 18 staff across 3 locations supporting learners and employers around the North East.

Chris Brown

Director of education

I have over a decade of experience in education and training, I am passionate about educational performance. I have worked in the private education sector for over 10 years, previously working with some of the largest training providers in the UK. With a passion for delivery, in the training room I have tried to push my students to get the very best from them in all aspects of learning. I have moved into the development of the delivery content incorporating digital technology to enable access to learning to a wider audience.

Claire Brown

Business Development

I have worked for Geon from when the company was formed. During my time I have built up a substantial portfolio of clients in a number of industries across the UK. I pride myself on working closely with all my clients ensuring Geon are filling the training  gap in their business with the latest dynamic training packages alongside fulfilling their recruitment requirements throughout the year with suitable trained employees. In turn this has assisted many of my clients to expand their business providing more employment opportunities for our candidates.


Rachel Bullerwell

Human Resources

My background is mainly in Customer Service which is where I was introduced to Nadia and Trevor, having previously worked as their virtual office assistant when they first set up the business. My daily role within Geon is very varied. I look after the HR aspects of the business, assist with the compliance of paperwork for the colleges we work in partnership with, work as PA to the MD managing her diary and answering emails and calls in her absence, as well as processing payroll for the Geon staff and temps we have out working for our sister recruitment company.

Cheryl Sutherland

Recruitment Manager

I have worked in Recruitment for 3 years, l have vast experience of supporting individuals in to work within Construction, Retail, Logistics and customer service.  At Geon I manage  our resource team, which includes the day to day running of the business, the recruitment of learners on to funded training programmes and support our learners in to sustainable employment.  To ensure a strong link with our partners and employers I liaise with them on a daily and weekly basis to support their demands and needs.

Jonathan Stead

Compliance officer

I have worked for Geon for the last 2 years while here my job role has changed, I initially started out as a recruiter, which meant I would have to call potential candidates and book them in for registration, after doing this for a year I was promoted to Team Leader, I was team leader for about 6 months and was then promoted to compliance office, which is the position that I’m currently doing, my duties involve checking all registration packs of SSU, SSW and Non reg to make sure that all information that has been provided is correct and up to date.

Amie Dudgeon


I have worked in Career Resourcing for 2 and half years for Geon.  I pride myself on finding recruitment and employment solutions for individuals who are looking to gain employment or change career through training and career support.  I support the Operations Manager and Partnership Manager, on placing individuals on to courses which ensures that we are working to our contract values.

I have worked in Career Resourcing for 2 ands a half years for Geon.  I pride myself on finding recruitment and employment solutions for individuals who are looking to gain employment or change career through training and career support.  I support the Operations Manager and Partnership Manager, on placing individuals on to courses which ensures that we are working to our contract values.

I have worked for Geon for only a few months running all aspects of digital marketing, basically making everyone’s life easier. This includes running social media platforms, website construction and management, strategy building and lead generationg. I pride myself in ensuring my team is provided with solutions and shortcuts when it comes to social media and other digital aspects. My goal from the very beginning of my marketing journey has always been to form a long lasting relationship with the clients I meet, ensuring im providing as much value as I can in the time we work together.

Jimmy Graham

I have worked for Geon for the past 3 and a half years, I am experienced in business and organisational development, and skilled in management and Leadership. I also design learning materials for courses delivered by Geon Training. I have worked within adult education and training for the past 25 years. Within my working career I have managed key contracts, such as, Nissan, Vauxhall, Komatsu, Akzo Nobel, Argos and in the early days Woolworths. My specialist areas are manufacturing, warehousing, Business Improvements and customer service.

Shona McCreedy

Partnerships manager

I have worked in the area of government funded training and initiatives for the last 17 years which includes European Social Funding contracts and direct ESFA funded contracts both as a lead provider and a sub-contractor to partners nationally. Over the last 17 years I have worked to tight deadlines on high profile projects including the production of data and financial analysis systems for National projects. My role in Geon is to manage the partnership contracts across the North East to ensure that Geon is performing in both contract value and quality. 


Jacob Smith


My career has spanned across many different sectors from niche technology sales to business development in multinational manufacturing. As Business development advisor for Geon Training I am responsible for helping drive the business forward as regards to online training. We provide fully funded courses for all kinds of businesses and positions so it’s an exciting job , no two days are the same.
